Service

Everyone knows that you have to service your car every so often.  But there are a few different things that you need to do.  So I am going to tell you a couple different services that you need to do to help your car run at its maximum performance and extend the life of your car in these hard economic times.  First and most importantly you need to change the oil in your car every three to six months or every 2000 miles.  This will help your car run better and more efficiently.  Second would be to put new power steering, brake, and anti-freeze fluid in your car at least every two years.   Next would be changing tire position is very important and reduces uneven wear and tear on the tread, thus extending the life of the tires. The recommended rotation cycle is twice a year or every 6,000 miles.  One not everyone would think would be beneficial would be to wash your car.  Road salt, mud, and pollution can all damage your car.  On cars that don’t get washed enough you can see corrosion on the bottom parts of their car.  So wash your car when its dirty to help it looking its best!

Diversions

Diversions

I am going to skew away from the actually definition of diversion and turn it into parting/distancing yourself from others.  I have many different friends that are graduating in the next week and these are people that I have known for years.  One person in particular would be my roommate Shelby.  I am from Maryville and in high school I would hang out with college kids.  Shelby was one of them, I have been friends with her for about 4 years now and she is graduating.  It’s going to be so different not being in the same town because I’m so used to her being around.  But part of life is diverting away from others and this won’t be the last person that will walk out in my life.  Everyone will have people that come in and out of their life that will make and impact and we have to realize that it’s part of life.

Healing

Healing

Healing is a very important process in life.  You go through something rough and need time to heal.  Healing is basically fixing yourself inside and out.  Two examples would be when I lost my grandma and grandpa; it took a good couple of months before I was completely “healed.”  Your mind just can’t grasp the thought of someone who has been there every day of your life not being there at all.  It wasn’t physical healing it was mental and emotional.  My other example would be when I was younger and I fell and busted my eye socket open.  I had to get 7 stitches on my face and it took a good 3 weeks for it fully “heal.”  I truly believe when people say “time heals all wounds” that this is true because whether its physical or emotional, with time you will heal.

I think that it is awesome when people let children do things like this.  Letting a child live his or her dream means more to a child than anything in the world.  Especially in today’s society it’s nice to see that there are truly kind people out there.  As I am working on my comp project about Make a Wish Foundation, I have found out how life changing it is for kids to have their dream come true.  I think more things like this should happen not only with children with cancer or life threatening diseases, but also children with troubled childhoods or any problem of that sort.  It also doesn’t take an organization to make things like this happen either.

A song with meaning

A song with meaning

I don’t really have a specific song with meaning because I listen to all kinds of different music.  When trying to think of a specific song that relates to my life I really couldn’t think of any because all the songs I listen too are about drinking, and having fun, and things of that sort.  So I guess I will just give a few lyrics from some of my favorite songs that have to do with that kind of stuff.

I, knock on the door, hope isn’t home

Fate’s not around the lucks all gone

 -Lil Wayne

Life is a beach I’m just playing in the sand

-Lil Wayne

When you don’t make moves, and when

you don’t climb up the ladder, everybody loves

you because you’re not competition.

 – Nicki Minaj

Refuse to lose. Refuse to be defeated. Refuse to

have regrets.”

 – Nicki Minaj

When you look ahead and darkness is all you see,

faith and determination will pull you through.

We are more interested in make others believe

we are happy than trying to be happy ourselves.

Fame

Fame

Whether they are famous for how fast they go, what movie they were in, or just how weird they were, here are a few of the most famous cars in the world.  Herbie the “love bug” from Herbie fully loaded is one of the most famous cars.  The adorable VW that charmed its way into our hearts in 1968.  The “Bat mobile” is probably one of the most famous cars out there today, it’s gone through some transformations throughout the years but everyone can still spot the bat mobile.  Next would be the Aston Martin “Bond mobile” from various James Bond movies, everyone has seen the movies about James Bond 007 and James Bond has definitely made this car just about as famous as he is.   Greased from Grease lightning is next on the list, this car was one of the first cars to become famous and everyone can still hear that song playing in their head.  Last but not least on my list is the DeLorean from “Back to the Future”: So most movie cars serve for racing, crime fighting, and getaways, but in “Back to the Future” they can actually travel through time in this vehicle, by far beating every other famous car out there!

Underappreciated

Today I will try and relate my topic back to cars.  I think cars are actually really underappreciated.  I think people take cars for granted also.  We all have at one point in time hit or kicked our car because it wouldn’t start, or something broke.  We don’t realize how lucky we really are to have something that transports us around so quickly and easily.  We don’t realize that about one hundred years ago people were driving around with horse and buggies and it took them days to get places.  Today we can travel hundreds of miles within hours using our cars.  They are so underappreciated!
