Hollywood

When I think of Hollywood I think of glamour, and celebrities, and rich people.  So when I relate cars to Hollywood I think of the glamorous, really nice cars that are driving around that area.  So basically in this blog I’m going to tell you about some of the nicest cars out there.  So what are the top 5 cars out there today.  Well starting off with number 5 would be the Zenvo starting at $1,225,000. It’s able to reach 60 mph in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 233 mph (375 km/h). The Zenvo ST1 is from a new Danish supercar company. The 4th best car is the Maybach Landaulet starting at $1,380,000. The Landaulet is the most expensive sedan on the market and it can go from 0-60 mph in 5.2 seconds. It is one the most luxurious cars ever made; this comes with a convertible roof that fully opens at the rear. This Maybach is made especially for CEOs and Executives who have their own personal driver.  3rd would be the Lamborghini Reventon starting at $1,600,000. It reaches 60 mph in 3.3 seconds from 0, to go with a top speed of 211 mph. Second would be the Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster $1,850,000. One of the most exotic cars out there is also one of the most expensive. It can go from 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 217 mph.  And that leads us to the number one most luxurious car out there, the Bugatti Veyron Super Sports $2,400,000. This is by far the most expensive street legal car available on the market today. Capable of reaching 0-60 mph in 2.5 seconds, the Veyron is the fastest street legal car when tested again on July 10, 2010 with the 2010 Super Sport Version reaching a top speed of 267 mph.

Endings

This topic in relations to cars is very sad.  When I think of endings and cars I think of how many fatal deaths there are related to car accidents.  This kind of makes me think twice about driving with road rage because many accidents that happen on the road are from people that have road rage.  According to Wikipedia.org there was on 26 deaths in 1899 due to motor vehicles, and in 2012 that number dramatically increased to 34,767, that’s a huge change.  From 1979 to 2005, the number of deaths per year decreased 14.97%.  This is crazy to me because I drive recklessly sometimes and it kind of makes me step back and think.  According to http://www.dosomething.org, texting while driving makes you 4 times more likely to cause a crash. And About 54% of teenage motor vehicle crash deaths occur on Friday, Saturday or Sunday – with Saturday being the deadliest day of the week for teens.  This makes me really scared because I drive a lot on Saturdays, and I also text and drive or surf the internet on my phone almost every time I get into a car.  If everyone would wear their seatbelt, cut back on texting and driving, and drive a little safer I think we could make these numbers dramatically decrease.

Aggravation

Aggravation

This is probably one of my favorite topics to write about.  When I think of aggravation and cars I think of road rage.  Everyone has this to some extent but I believe that I have a very bad case of it!  Google defines road rage as “Violent anger caused by the stress and frustration involved in driving a motor vehicle.”  This is me every time I drive.  I have to drive to St Joseph for work around 4 times per week and it never fails that a car makes me mad or I make another car angry.  I would say on average 1 out of 7 times I drive on the highway I get flipped off.  This is because I am a very fast driver, I like to swerve through cars to get them out of my way, and I also like to text and drive.  But when it’s other people that do this to me I can get really upset.  There’s nothing I hate more than driving behind two cars side by side that are going slow.  This irritates me to the max because there is a fast lane for a reason…for cars that drive fast! Another example would be when you are in a hurry and the car in front of you decides to brake on an orange light instead of speeding up, drives me crazy!  I think people need to just learn how to drive.

Challenges

Challenge

This week’s subject is challenge.   Challenge can be defined as a call to take part in a contest or competition, esp. a duel.  Everyone loves a little challenge because without it everything in this world would just be boring.  This brings me back to the topic of being a race car driver.  Without a challenge, watching race car driving and actually being a race car driver would not be fun at all.  There would be no point to it.  You have to challenge yourself to be a better driver.  You have to have a challenge to have fun.  Racing has been dated all the way back to the early 1900’s.  Everyone loves to speed and go fast for fun.  And to some people racing cars is a hobby.  All in all racing cars could be a fun hobby because it has a challenge and people live off challenges.

Genetics

Genetics

Almost everything in this world has to do with genetics.  We as humans as talked about in the article have genetics and some are better off on the inside and some of us are better off on the outside.  Same thing goes for cars.  Some cars and made better, look better, and have better performance than others.  Humans are finding cures and working out kinks caused by genetics every day.  Cars also have had tremendous changes throughout the years also.  Engines have gotten more complex, car designs have gotten more appealing to the eye and cars can go up to incredible speeds unlike the first cars ever designed.  Not only that but we have cars that can get up to 50 miles to the gallon which is amazing!  Cars have also gotten so much safer to drive.  Now days we have systems in the cars genetics that will tell us when we are getting close to a car, or if driving conditions are bad.  Not only that but there are more airbags, more padding, and better seatbelts.  But it’s not just the inside that’s gotten better; if you look at makes of cars throughout times you can see how they only get more and more appealing to the eye.  They look cleaner and leaner.  The paint and tires look better.   And many cars today have sunroofs which are something that the first cars never had.
