Meeting New People

Meeting new people

I love meeting new people, whether it’s at a party or at work or someplace random I love meeting someone new.  I also think it’s important to meet new people because that’s how you gain confidence and become a better person.  When I was younger I was a super nervous and shy kid and my parents never forced me to be very social.  And I wish they would have because I think it would have made me a much more confident person today.  I still consider myself pretty confident but you can never have too much confidence.  Meeting new people is really cool because you meet people and sometimes they actually can become some of your close friends.  That’s another reason I like going out on the weekends; you go out and meet new people at the bars or at parties and its cool to get to know other people.  All in all I think meeting new people is extremely important in life.

Relaxation

Relaxation

As in my last blog I think taking a break/relaxation is extremely important. I honestly cannot go one minute without thinking about relaxation, if I’m not in bed or lying on the couch watching TV. I’m constantly thinking about how tired I am!  I would consider myself to be a pretty lazy person, I like to sleep and relax and anytime I get stressed out I always talk about how I need to go get a massage and get back to normal.  I have a couple of friends that need to relax more often, they stress themselves out to the max and the consequences come at them.  If you don’t relax you can have mental and physical issues.  I am pretty good and telling my friends to relax and take a breath and stop stressing (I’m a pretty stress free person).  I also thinks it’s important to relax because if you don’t your grades could drop, you could do worse at work, and you could be a groggy mean person.  So everyone take a few minutes a day to take a few breaths and relax!

Breaks

Breaks

My next few blogs won’t necessarily be about cars.  Today’s blog is about breaks.  There’s many different kind of breaks you can take.  You could take a break from school; you could take a break from your boyfriend/girlfriend, or just take a break from life.  I think taking breaks in life is super important because sometimes you just get so stressed out that you need to take a breather to get back to normal.  For instance, before spring break I was working 30 plus hours, and being a full time student at Northwest.  I had so much homework to do, tests to take and on top go to work and waste my time there.  And I couldn’t wait until spring break to take a break from it all for an entire week.  I went to Florida with my friends and let loose and had fun.  It’s important that we all take breaks because if not you might get too stressed out and hit rock bottom and that really sucks.

Secrets

I think that this blog is very cool.  You send in a picture with a secret on it and it can be completely anonymous.  To me this could be very therapeutic because you can write down your feelings and actually get them out instead of holding them in. I think it would be really cool in Northwest would do something like this, where we could send in a picture or some sort of paper and put our “secrets” down on them.  This almost reminds me of the “Northwest Confessions” page on twitter, and the “Secret Admirer” page on Facebook.  It gives students a chance to put down their secrets and tell the world without anyone knowing who they are because all of the comments are completely anonymous.  This is cool because it gives students a chance to realize they aren’t the only ones out there dealing with these issues and there are other people out there going through the same things that you are going through.

Prized Possessions

Prized Possessions

We all have things that are our prized possessions, some people would say their kids are their prized possessions and others would say material items are theirs.  I would say my car would be mine.  I would also say that everyone’s first car would probably be one of their prized possessions.  We all turned 16 and drove around in them doing stupid things and just having fun.  I know I had so much fun in my car, even though I didn’t damage it at all like some people did, but I did pack it full and drive around until the morning hours, speeding and doing other hood rat things.  I would also say my car is my prized possession because it’s the only thing that I have really worked hard for to get.  I would always mow every summer and put aside money to get a car by the time I was 16.  So those are a few reasons my car is my prized possession

Hollywood

When I think of Hollywood I think of glamour, and celebrities, and rich people.  So when I relate cars to Hollywood I think of the glamorous, really nice cars that are driving around that area.  So basically in this blog I’m going to tell you about some of the nicest cars out there.  So what are the top 5 cars out there today.  Well starting off with number 5 would be the Zenvo starting at $1,225,000. It’s able to reach 60 mph in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 233 mph (375 km/h). The Zenvo ST1 is from a new Danish supercar company. The 4th best car is the Maybach Landaulet starting at $1,380,000. The Landaulet is the most expensive sedan on the market and it can go from 0-60 mph in 5.2 seconds. It is one the most luxurious cars ever made; this comes with a convertible roof that fully opens at the rear. This Maybach is made especially for CEOs and Executives who have their own personal driver.  3rd would be the Lamborghini Reventon starting at $1,600,000. It reaches 60 mph in 3.3 seconds from 0, to go with a top speed of 211 mph. Second would be the Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster $1,850,000. One of the most exotic cars out there is also one of the most expensive. It can go from 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 217 mph.  And that leads us to the number one most luxurious car out there, the Bugatti Veyron Super Sports $2,400,000. This is by far the most expensive street legal car available on the market today. Capable of reaching 0-60 mph in 2.5 seconds, the Veyron is the fastest street legal car when tested again on July 10, 2010 with the 2010 Super Sport Version reaching a top speed of 267 mph.

Endings

This topic in relations to cars is very sad.  When I think of endings and cars I think of how many fatal deaths there are related to car accidents.  This kind of makes me think twice about driving with road rage because many accidents that happen on the road are from people that have road rage.  According to Wikipedia.org there was on 26 deaths in 1899 due to motor vehicles, and in 2012 that number dramatically increased to 34,767, that’s a huge change.  From 1979 to 2005, the number of deaths per year decreased 14.97%.  This is crazy to me because I drive recklessly sometimes and it kind of makes me step back and think.  According to http://www.dosomething.org, texting while driving makes you 4 times more likely to cause a crash. And About 54% of teenage motor vehicle crash deaths occur on Friday, Saturday or Sunday – with Saturday being the deadliest day of the week for teens.  This makes me really scared because I drive a lot on Saturdays, and I also text and drive or surf the internet on my phone almost every time I get into a car.  If everyone would wear their seatbelt, cut back on texting and driving, and drive a little safer I think we could make these numbers dramatically decrease.
